We are looking for a Business Officer to join our team and contribute towards the effective management of the finance, HR, governance and administration functions within Obair Newmarket on Fergus CLG. This is a flexible role where you will support the organisation on a full time basis.

Skills & Experience

  • Comfortable with producing and preparing financial reporting for internal and external purposes
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience of preparing financial reports an advantage
  • People management and HR skills an advantage
  • Ability to work with multiple demands and deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills with an ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • This role requires a candidate with strong financial skills therefore accountancy/bookkeeping experience is desirable.

Main Duties

  • Management of the company’s financial planning and risk management by preparing and presenting quarterly financial reports.
  • Develop and implement effective financial management reporting, policies and procedures throughout the organisation ensuring all reporting deadlines are adhered to.
  • Ensure reporting requirements of our charitable organisation are met
  • To prepare and process weekly payroll, compile payroll reports and ensure compliance with all regulatory authorities
  • To comply with all Revenue reporting requirements
  • To manage and administer the HR function
