Darkness into Light

Tonight in Newmarket-on-Fergus was truly special as the community came together for #DIL in remembrance of all those we have lost. It was a beautiful night filled with light, reflection, support, and unity. Suicide can affect any family, and events like this remind us how important it is to stand together, especially for our young people.
A sincere thank you to Newmarket Celtic FC and Newmarket-on-Fergus GAA for their support and involvement in making the evening so meaningful.
Special thanks also to Vivien Grogan and Clare Civil Defence for their leadership and commitment to the event. Thanks to Erica, head chef with Obair, and to the young lads who return every year to help with the lights — Jaydn, Omar, Oran, Josh, Nathan, and Kelvin. Your effort and dedication do not go unnoticed. These youths have been working at Obair for the passed year through various programmes supported by CAF America via Shannon based IDEX Pump.
Thank you to all the volunteers who provided tea and refreshments, to Liddy School of Music, Fr. Albert, and everyone who helped guide and support the evening.
Most importantly, thank you to our supportive community who turned up, walked together, and to all the local businesses and homes who placed a light in their window in solidarity and remembrance. Your support shines brighter than you know.
