Obair brought a little snapshot of their Meals on Wheels service to West Clare yesterday as we prepare to start delivering in the Kilrush area. A casual information session took place at Glebe House , a newly renovated building which is managed by Clare Local Development Company.

Representing Obair were Acting Manager Siobhán O’ Driscoll, Eimear Murphy, Majella Casey and Board Member Bob Flannery. Also in attendance and showcasing the meals available to customers were Obair Chefs Erica Long and Pat O’ Neill. The evening was a great opportunity for locals to come and meet with us and find out a little more as well as exploring volunteer roles with us.

We were joined by Agnes from CLDC as well as Sharon from the Clare Volunteer Centre both of whom are a valued support to Obair.

Obair have secured an EV Van which will be used for deliveries in the community. It is hoped that we will base our hub at Glebe House in the centre of Kilrush town. To begin with we will focus on the Kilrush area and surrounds.
