This week sees the beginning of Obair’s Meals on Wheels service in North Clare. We are now excited to be delivering in the Lisdoonvarna and Doolin areas of the County. This follows our other recent expansion into the Tulla area in East Clare earlier in the year.

This week also saw the arrival of three new E- Vehicles that will be delivering Meals on Wheels in communities across the County. This project could not have happened without the support of our funders including HSE-Older Persons Services and Pobals Dormant Accounts Scaling Fund. We have also received huge support from Clare County Council’s Rural and Community Development Dept, Lisdoonvarna Fáilte as well as local representatives in West and North Clare. As with all of our routes we could not fulfil this project without our fantastic team of dedicated volunteers. We are delighted to welcome our North Clare volunteers to the Obair Family this week.

Obair is now supplying a 2 course meal to over 200 older people in South Clare, East Clare, North Clare, Ennis and Shannon areas. To apply for Meals on Wheels in your area you must be 66 years of age or older.
