Going Strong Club meets President Mary McAleese in Áras am Uachtaráin

At present there are two elderly groups operating in the area of Newmarket-on-Fergus, the role of the LDSIP is to provide support to both of these groups who work with the elderly in the community to combat isolation and social exclusion.

This support is provided in the form of working with their committees when required and small scale financial support for the acitivities of both groups towards their annual costs for the provision of social, recreational and educational activities.
